I am a photographer doing a documentary about hiking the trail and I plan on starting the hike in the north in about a month, at the beginning of October. I am looking for a few good people with some hiking experience who aren't too shy in front of a camera (no video) to join me. Right now I have one potential hiker but I'm looking for a group of three to five so if you have a friend who is also interested let me know. Skills in first aid, navigation, language, etc are useful but not necessary. I would like to do the whole trail but if you have time restraints or you're not up to such a long hike we can meet up for a section and part ways.
About the documentary: This will be a photography-and-text story about the trail and the people who hike on it, not a guide on the trail, though it may be used that way. The intended final product will be a book, and while I can't promise it'll make any money, I can offer you a copy of the finished product.
