Do you know the cheapest/easiest way to get these maps, from within Israel or out?

To all the good people who plan to hike the INT from summer 08 and beyond: The guide will be available for sale this summer  in stores in Israel, several locations along the trail and on the internet. More details will be posted when available. Sorry if some of you were hoping to get it before spring is over. There are minor changes in the area of Lakish-Fura that require update of the maps and text.

The guide contains day hike descriptions (both north to south and south to north are included), maps in English (1:250,000 and 1:50,000), accommodation, logistics, camping out and much more.

The new guide was tested on the trail and people are excited about it.

Based on comments from hikers and a technical review by Danny Gaspar who was in charge of the INT at the SPNI,

for the last 15 years, the guide's structure is currently modified.

Re: New guide & maps

Awesome!  I'm heading to Israel on Thursday, and I'll have to buy one of those for my hike in August.

Re: New guide & maps

Good on you for getting a review from Danny Gaspar -- is the review posted online anywhere? And hey, do you know if he's ever visited this site? It would be great if he posted here sometime...

Sojourner:  I hiked the trail this spring both with and without this guide.  Believe me, you will thank the stars that you have the guidebook!

Dany Gaspar has reviewed the guide and has updated some details according to latest modifications along the trail. Don't think he'll post here...
