Sections of the trail suitable to weak hikers?

Shalom,

Wonderful article in yesterday's Jerusalem Post!!!

I am 50 years old. I had a run-in with cancer 10 years ago that left me with 1 kidney (so I can not tolerate extreme heat) and a bad ankle fracture. Are there sections of the trail which do not have steep steps? I am also vey clausterphobic and can not crawl through caves.

I would appreciate your advice.

Thank you Shay- you are a great inspiration. I have lived in Israel for 33 years now but I think you know Israel better than I do!

Re: Sections of the trail suitable to weak hikers?

There are many sections of the trail that are easy and flat. If you have lived in Israel for 33 years I recommend that you buy the hebrew guide. It has a detailed description of each day, with a hiking profile, and distance from the starting point of each day. If you can hike 10km only you can easily figure out what is your ending point. There is no crawling in caves on the trail.

You can download a sample day hike description here

Gmar Hatima Tova.
